This book has been published on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the greatest poet of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mak Dizdar. The first edition was published in Sarajevo in 1966. For this occasion, a font was created which is based on „Bosanchica”, Bosnian medieval writing not in use anymore. Some headings and shorter poems were transliterated to Bosanchica which is a unique feature of this book.

Certainly, Mak Dizdar's poetry itself as well as Bosnian medieval tombstones „stechacks” have been a major inspiration for the design of this book.
